• Lighting: Low to medium (50-125 PAR) — Chalice corals thrive under moderate lighting. Avoid intense direct light which can cause bleaching or tissue recession
• Flow: Low to medium indirect flow — Gentle, alternating flow keeps the tissue clean and allows full polyp extension. Direct strong flow can stress the coral
• Placement: Lower to middle rockwork — Provide a stable, flat surface with adequate spacing from neighboring corals. Chalices have sweeper tentacles that can sting nearby specimens
• Difficulty: Moderate — Best suited for hobbyists with stable, established reef parameters

Water Parameters: Maintain stable alkalinity (8-9 dKH), calcium (400-450 ppm), and magnesium (1250-1350 ppm). Chalice corals are sensitive to parameter swings, so consistency is key.

Feeding: Chalice corals are aggressive feeders and respond well to target feeding 2-3 times per week with meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, chopped seafood, or quality LPS pellet foods. Regular feeding enhances coloration and promotes growth.
